Headstone 1799

Still working on photos from our trip to Columbia in July. Took us awhile to find one but we scoured that little old cemetery and eventually located a headstone inscribed with a date before the 1800's. Many headstones indicated folks who MAY have been born before 1800 but a lot of them only included the date of demise, not birthdate. And a detail photo below.

#14 - Outdoor Pay Phone: I found this old skool phone booth last year and at the time I thought, that would be a cool item to add to a photo scavenger hunt and alas...it was! I took my lunch hour today & drove to Eden Park (just outside of downtown Cincinnati) to snap this pic. I had to hang the camera from a sign post and set the timer to get it and I'm sure I looked pretty disturbed to the kids and old folks enjoying the sunshine, but I went for it.

We visited Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo.  This tomb was there.  There were several old tombs/graves there.  There were many graves of native Americans from the 1700s, but they had wooden crosses.

Went to the mall in Monterey to see the new Batman movie and get some dinner after.  When we parked and Dave looked up, he saw this.  We didn't eat at PF Chang's though, decided on California Pizza Kitchen.
